Let's get to know the faces of the Brave team
Brave is a blockchain project that started in 2016 to realize its mission of "making the web better by providing content creators with a new way to earn revenue based on user interest and by providing users with a safe and fast browsing experience.
It was launched by Brendan Eich, the creator of the world's most popular programming language JavaScript, as CEO.
Brendan is well known to all engineers, and is also famous for creating JavaScript in just 10 days in May 1995.
Brave's CTO is Brian Bondy, who worked with Brendan at Mozilla, the developer of the Firefox web browser, and its CISO is Yan Zhu, who worked as a security engineer at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Yahoo!

Let's get an overview of Brave
Brave comes standard with a mechanism to hide unwanted online advertisements delivered by third parties.
As a result, the loading speed of web pages is extremely fast.
By blocking unwanted ads and scripts, Brave loads 3-6 times faster than Google Chrome on average, according to verification results.
Brave is also equipped with a privacy protection mechanism.
As you learned in Lesson 1, existing browsers can send information to ad networks and data collectors when you view a web page.
In contrast, Brave allows you to block programs that collect data.
It can also bypass a mechanism called fingerprinting, which is used to identify devices.
For users who require higher privacy performance, Brave also provides a feature called Tor that can anonymize communications.
Brave also offers a privacy-centric advertising platform that uses a cryptographic technique called zero-knowledge proof.
Unlike traditional advertising, Brave's ads do not send the user's information to the platform's servers.
Instead, it uses non-personally identifiable information stored in the browser to display the most appropriate ads.
This makes it possible to deliver ads with a high degree of accuracy while protecting the privacy of the user.

What is the difference between Brave and conventional browsers?
Brave is much faster than conventional browsers.
Today's web media contains a large number of advertisements and a variety of data collection tools.
By blocking them, Brave enables fast display.
In addition, Brave provides its services without any management of user information by the operator.
In most cases, companies retain personal data for the purpose of delivering advertisements.
However, Brave has developed a system that does not retain that information and manages it only on the user's device.
Therefore, there is no need to worry about personal data being sold to unrelated third parties without permission.
